Types of Cases We Take
A misdemeanor is defined as a crime that is punishable by fine and/or imprisonment in a County jail for one year or less.
A felony is a serious criminal charge, which is defined in terms of possible punishment. It is defined in the California Penal Code as "any crime that is punishable by death or by imprisonment in a state prison."
A child who is charged with committing a crime, with habitual truancy, or with incorrigibility, comes within the jurisdiction of the juvenile delinquency court.
